Congratulations to WCA Volleyball team on GREAT season!

After soundly defeating Lutheran North in their district semi-final match on Wednesday night, the varsity volleyball team stepped onto the court against Duchesne to play for the district championship. They played their hearts out, but our Wildcats were defeated in a well-played, hard-fought match. Overall, the varsity volleyball team ended its season with an impressive 18-12-1 record, which included victories over four teams, which won district championships Wednesday night! Special congratulations go to senior co-captains Jesse Menchak and Leah Beck for whom this was the final volleyball match of their high school careers and to Leah, Jessie and Sarah Hall who were named to the All-District team. The Lady Wildcats would also like especially to thank everyone who came out Wednesday night to support them so enthusiastically. You were great!

Lady Wildcats defeat Villa Duchesne in a nail biter

Villa started the match strong and defeated our Cats in game one, winning 25-17 (and it was not even that close!). These Cats do not quit, however, and they stormed back in game two and never trailed, winning 25-16. The third and deciding game would be another seesaw battle all the way to the end, but the Cats prevailed in a nail-biter, 27-25! Congrats to the Cats--and a special thanks to all of those outrageously boisterous fans who came out to support us.

Westminster wins in 3 hard fought games over MICDS

The Cats fell behind early and despite a valiant comeback attempt, they lost the first game. They stormed back in game two with a convincing win, forcing a winner-take-all third game. Once again, the Cats fell behind early and big, trailing at one point 19-23. After steadying up their game, the Cats clawed their way back to a 23-23 tie and pushed their way through to a 26-24 victory. Congratulations. 27-29, 25-21, 26-24.
