Lady ‘Cats are 2007 MSHSAA Class 3 Districts Champs!
Saturday, the Lady ‘Cats were crowned the Class 3 District 3 Champions! The Lady ‘Cats went into the District tournament seeded #1.
Senior Recognition
This Tuesday, October 2, is Senior recognition day as the ‘Cats take on Nerinx Hall at home. Game time is at 4:15. Join us as we recognize our seniors!
Districts Next Week!!
The varsity softball team earned a first place seed as they go into the District Tournament next week. Their first district game will be on Friday, October 5th at 4PM (field #2). All district games will be played at Affton Sports Complex by Grants Farm off Gravois Road. The Wildcats will be playing the winner of University City and Visitation. If the girls win on Friday, they will be playing in the championship game at 11AM on Saturday, October 6th.
Lady Cats' Increase Record to 6-4!!
Monday, the Lady ‘Cats put an end to their 3-game losing streak, with a come from behind 8-4 win over St. Joseph’s Academy JV, to raise their record to 6-4. St. Joseph’s Academy scored two early runs as Shay Weststeyn struggled a bit walking 2 batters in the first two innings. Shay found her groove and it was the ‘Cats turn to pick it up as they scored 1 run in the 3rd and 4th inning, and 3 runs in the 5th and 6th innings to take a commanding 8-3 lead after 6 innings. The ‘Cats played a good game in the field, as the infield handled 10 ground ball outs. Shay Weststeyn added 11 strikeouts. Standing out offensively, were Jasmine Harrell with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI, and Suzanne Weston, with 2 hits, and 3 RBIs. Shay Weststeyn tripled early in the game, and Jordan Klein added a run-scoring hit. 4 ‘Cats were hit by pitches, with Hannah Worrell, proving to be the toughest, taking 2 for the team. The ‘Cats are off until this Friday, when they will play Ritenour at home. Come on out cheer the ‘Cats to victory!
